On Saturday evening, the cruisers held their AGM and Prize-giving Supper.
There was little controversy at the AGM and Chris Nolan who has been Cruiser Fleet Captain for the last three years handed over to the newly elected captain Steve Barham. Steve confirmed that the programme for 2019 would follow similar lines to recent years but with a few minor changes to reflect advice from Chris and suggestions from members of the fleet.
The winners of trophies, some of whom are in the picture, have had a wide variety of successes in 2018. The diversity of the Cruiser fleet was further emphasised by Arthur Heasley’s latest ‘Shipping News’ which records the cruises and racing throughout the year by members of the fleet - there are still more journeys planned for 2018 including an Atlantic crossing.
Sail or motor, creek or ocean the Royal Corinthian Cruiser Fleet are looking forward to another great season in 2019.
