Members of the General Committee have recently been testing some of the more advanced capabilities of the ClubMinder system that is used to manage the bar tills - specifically the ability to see their accounts on-line, and to add credit to the account over the Internet using debit or credit cards. Although the system is not yet considered ready for general release, we're inviting members to try it, and contribute to the testing...

Important note - please read

Although this guide may seem quite long and detailed, be assured that the process is actually simple. Once you have used ClubMinder's web services once, it is very unlikely that you will need to refer to this guide again. In fact, the members of the General Committee who were on the first test team did not have this guide (just their account number and a URL) and all but one were able to charge their card without problem.

The system's bugs/problems/potential improvements are highlighted where ever we have found them. If you feel that we have missed any, please email your comments to clubminder@royalcorinthian.co.uk.

1. Retrieve your ClubMinder account number

To gain access to ClubMinder web services you need your ClubMinder account number.

Your ClubMinder account number (not your card number) can be found in your profile on this website. To gain access to this information you will need to login to the website. If you are confident with this process, you can skip to stage 1.4, otherwise read on...

1.1. Go to the login page of royalcorinthian.co.uk

Click the login link in the right column of the homepage (as shown below) or click the login link at the bottom left hand corner of any page on the site.

1.2. Enter your login details if you know them and click the login button

If you don't know your password, click the Click here to get your password emailed to you... to request your password in an email.


1.3. Request your password

Enter your email address and click the Get Password button. Your password will be immediately emailed to you. Then use the Go back to the login page... link and login with your email address and password.

1.4. Go to your profile page

Once you are told that you have logged in, click the View your profile link in the right column.

Your ClubMinder account number is shown at the bottom of your profile. TIP! The bold text in ClubMinder Account Number is actually a link to the ClubMinder system, but for future reference, the URL for the ClubMinder system is easy to remember - next time just type in clubminder.royalcorinthian.co.uk and go straight there...

2. Gain access to your ClubMinder account

2.1. Login to ClubMinder

As you are not yet logged in to ClubMinder - when you attempt to access clubminder.royalcorinthian.co.uk you will be taken to a login screen as shown below. Important Your password for ClubMinder is not currently the same as your royalcorinthian.co.uk password, although we suggest you set it to be the same.

Click the link that says Forgot your password? Click here to reset your password.

  • The I have a passcode. I want to activate my account link is superfluous
  • The New here? Register your account link and button is superfluous and needs to be removed. Ignore both of the above.
  • The Remember me on this computer: checkbox is inconsistent in its implementation.

2.2. Reset your ClubMinder password

Enter your account number and your email address, and click the Reset Password button. A password reset email will be immediately sent to you.

If you get a Cannot reset with provided information message, check your email address and account number. If they are both correct, you will need to contact the office before you can continue, so they can check your details in the system.

  • The Mobile text box does not currently work as expected (a reset code should be sent to your mobile phone). Do not attempt to use this feature.

2.2.1. Check for the reset email

Once you have received the email (similar to below) click on the link to initiate the password reset process.

2.3. Continue to reset your ClubMinder password

The Reset form gets automatically populated with the required information, click the Reset Password button to continue.

  • The email link does not go back to clubminder.royalcorinthian.co.uk but straight to the IP address of the ClubMinder server. This has caused problems with some Corporate networks rejecting the connection.
  • Doesn't need Cancel button.

2.4 Reset your ClubMinder password

Here we suggest you use the same password as your royalcorinthian.co.uk password. Enter it twice and click the Save Password button

2.5 Login to ClubMinder

The form will be automatically populated with your account number and the password you have just entered. Click the Login button to continue.

2.6 A successful Login

If your login is successful, you will see a screen like below. To view your statement/top up your account click the Statement Button.

  • Successful logins should land on the Statement page
  • The Browse Members functionality is a duplication of functionality on the club website, the link should be removed
  • The Browse Members page states No Members found for display on post login-landing which is buggy
  • The Browse Members page shows non active members
  • The Logout button is superfluous and needs to be removed
  • The Home button does nothing, is superfluous and should be removed

2.7 Statement Page

Hopefully using this is fairly self explanatory. Nevertheless, specify Last Month rather than Today to see more transactions than just your opening balance...

  • Would be better if the page defaulted to showing more transactions
  • Close button is superfluous and should be removed

2.8 Your profile Page

The information on this page is used by the Top Up system to populate the forms so you don't have to type your information in every time.

  • The three check boxes at the bottom are superfluous once the membership database is hidden, and can be removed
  • The address form could be better labelled
  • Spelling of Tel/Tele is inconsistent

2.9 Topping up your account

Return to the statement page, and then click the Top Up Account using SagePay button. This will bring you to the page below. Once you have populated the form, click the Proceed button at the bottom.

  • The Amount field is buggy (although the amount works correctly once you get it to say what you intended)
  • The Town field does not get populated even though the data is present
  • The address form is inconsistently labelled and does not match the fields on the Profile page
  • The form seems to think we are in the USA (State?!?!)

2.10 SagePay

2.14 Payment Success

Once your payment is approved, you will get returned to the ClubMinder website. Viewing your statement will show your top up transaction immediately.

  • Return to IP address rather than domain causes issues (see 2.3 above)
  • Problems with not remembering login on some browsers
  • Would be nice if SagePay transactions showed up on your bank statement as something different from WWW.ROYALCORINTHIA 07798821246. Is that a mobile phone number on there?
