We had three Corinthian Otter boats completing at the Feva Worlds at Hayling Island from Saturday 21st to Friday 27th July. There were 180 boats which after seven races were split into gold, silver and bronze fleet. All our three boats qualified in gold fleet.
It was very testing conditions with light and variable winds making everything very difficult as well as really interesting with 180 boats split into three fleets on the line.
It proved to be a very tough week of relatively light and shifty winds and yet our sailors did very well with some star performances. Arthur Brown and Niamh Davies scored two firsts and a 6th place on Day Two to qualify 17th overall in gold fleet. They continued their great performance in Gold fleet coming 13th overall and third U13 team.
James Hutton-Penman and Tom Jayasekara were consistent all week with top ten finishes, to finish 7th overall and fourth British boat.
Kathryn Hutton-Penman and Matt Jayasekara were rarely out of the top twenty all week and ended up in 26th position.
Well done to our Corinthian Otter sailors!
