Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday our briefing was at 9:30, we launched at 10 and did training until 12:30, then lunch and and went back racing at 1:30.
There was lots to do in the evenings. On Monday there was rounders on the beach and my team lost but after that the Burnham crowd had a BBQ with the Munro and the Lis families.
The Club held a BBQ in the evening on the Tuesday and the theme was Pirates of the Caribbean whilst on Wednesday there were games in the marquee, including rodeo bull, surf simulator and a rowing machine. Then it was off to the Pages and the Hoopers for spaghetti bolognese and another BBQ with the Hutton-Penmans on Thursday.
Friday we launched at 10, raced in the morning and went back for lunch. The Regatta Fleet's prizegiving was at 2:30 with the main prizegiving at 4:30. All the contestants received a plate which this year was designed by Hannah Harden. By 5 o'clock everyone started making their way home.
I had a wonderful week and enjoyed it loads. I made new friends especially when we had to choose the rounders team. My launching "buddy", Charlotte, was great and very helpful as well as team Hutton-Penman who helped with returning the boats to the club each day via the LONG sandy beach. The weather varied, sometimes it was hot and sometimes it wasn't! It didn't rain while we were sailing so we were lucky.
